The current principals of JGS Insurance have a combined experience of over 50 years in the industry, Steve Kane the current president has been with JGS since 1978. The other two principals, Ken Hager and Vinnie Hager have been here for 13 and 11 years respectively. JGS Insurance was originally founded in 1919 as Jacobson, Goldfarb an insurance and commercial real estate firm in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and remained there until 1985. In the early 60's Jacobson, Goldfarb added two partners, Danny Scott and Norman Tanzman, and divided into two separate firms, JGS Insurance and JGT Associates. Today each firm is independently owned and operated.
